Four and a half months were spent designing, constructing and installing finishes to a two-story structure focused on the theme of Disney’s “Up”. The booth cannot exceed a floor area of 18’ x 18’ and must guide occupants through the summary of the movie by creating themed rooms on the interior, signifying key moments in the narration. The structure was assembled by unskilled fraternity men under the direction of myself and another architecture student. Following our completion of the "Up" booth, we designed and built a booth with the theme of "Lord of the Rings." This booth included a curved staircase, as well as a full dome and tower reaching 25 feet.
